No mojo

Well yet again I've lapsed in updating my blog, I have all the best intentions in the world to update it every week as doing it everyday would be impossible, but things happen and I never get round to doing it and before I know it a month or more has gone by, that and the fact I lost my mojo and really couldn't come up with any ideas at all. It'll be worse when my son starts the school hols as we'll be trying to keep him occupied during the day and I'll be recovering on the evenings :)

Anyway lets get the ball rolling.

I always seem to use Daisy from the Sugar Nellies range when I make these wall hangings, but then she's my favourite of all them. She was coloured in with Copics and as usual I've forgotten to make a note of the colours. White card was embossed with Cuttlebug 'Roses' butterflies were done with Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly double punch and Classic Butterfly. Plain and scalloped circles done with nesties. Ribbon from stash.

This was an order from a friend for her dad. Cream card embossed with Cuttlebug 'Textile', sentiment was stamped then written over using a Sakura metallic pen. Border punched with EK Success 'Diamond Lace', ribbon again from stash.

This is the card to my OH from our son, I tried to get him to colour in the image himself, but he was more into playing with his Tech Decks, but I managed to get him to write 'Daddy' on the front, though it's not that clear. Image is Forever Friends 'Daisy Bear' you'll notice that there's no daisy, that's because I didn't want the flower on for this card. Coloured in with Copics, die cut shapes were done with Nellies 'Eastern Rounds', spotty paper from Craftwork Cards 'Sorbet Souffle Richie' pack.

This is a Greeting Farm image, Twinkle Tots Max, again good old Cuttlebug embossing folders to the rescue 'Happy Birthday' which was then sanded to give it a distressed look. Max coloured with Copics, and sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

I belong to a monthly RAK club on FeejDesigns, and I just couldn't think what to do, so I had to send something that I'd already made, which I hate doing. Hopefully it's arrived at it's destination by now. Flower Fairy from Crafters Companion and coloured with Copics, paper is by Rico Design

Paper from Craftwork Cards 'Sugar & Spice' white card and scalloped circle embossed with Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' circles cut with nesties, numbers made with Cuttlebug 'Alphabet Dies 'Fancy Pants', ribbon from stash.

After having had four boys, I was really happy to finally make a baby girl card for a friend and buy a little girly outfit! I have to say this was inspired by Shirley Drew at Craft Inspirations and I've put my own take on her design.
Paper is from Craftwork Cards 'Sugar & Spice' butterflies as already previously mentioned, hearts done with Martha Stewart 'Lace Heart' border punch. Flowers, buttons and brads from stash. Baby lettering done with 'Fancy Pants' Alphabet dies from Cuttlebug.

I didn't want the boys to feel left out as I know they would have been so excited to have a baby sister. Hearts embossed with Cuttlebug Folder 'Kimmy Luvs', lettering as before.

Greeting Farm 'Twinkle Tots Izzy, I think she's a real cutie and could overtake Daisy as being my favourite. Paper is Papermania 'Exquisite'. Izzy was coloured in with Copics, corners were cut with 'Vintage' 1 of a set of 4 dies. Flowers from stash.

That's it for now, going to have a browse and maybe attempt some crafting a bit later. Hope you like what I've done so far.

Back again...

I've had to record the rest of Strictly as Shane wanted to watch X Factor, so he's stretched out on the floor, like Lord Muck.  Usually when his daddy isn't doing a party (he's a mobile DJ) we have our family night when we watch a dvd of Shane's choice (which can be a bit iffy to say the least!), and have bags of popcorn, so tonight is a bit different for us.

Here's another card.

Again papers and flowers from stash, image is from Sugar Nellies 'Reflective' coloured with Copics.

Finally.....

I'm updating my blog after not doing it for about a month. I think last time I blogged I was getting over a cough.....well I've still got it, can you believe I had another sore throat last Sunday & Monday which has made the cough worse again.  I've spoken to a few people who are worse than me, with full blown flu and their kids have been the same.  Luckily Shane wasn't as bad as them when he was ill a few weeks ago.

I've taken some pics this evening of christmas makes and everyday ones. I had planned on making some halloween boxes today to put sweets in for the trick or treaters, but I'll try tomorrow instead.

In the mean time here's what I've done so far.

Papers and flowers from stash.  Image is Daisy from Sugar Nellies and coloured with copics.  Nesties were used for the circles.

Think I'll try to update later or tomorrow, Strictly Come Dancing is on now :)

Been a week since my last update, every now and again I have to do housework!!!!

Went to Coventry last Thursday as Shane was off school due to the voting, so we took him to Ikea to pick the colour of the shelves he's having in his room....but before we went to Ikea we went to Stampezee, a friend had recommended that I go there. As usual I spent far too much money. I bought some clear stamps by Pink Gem Designs, which I have to admit I'd never heard of. These aren't on stampezee's website but can be bought directly from Pink Gem.

Penny Black 'A Touch' coloured with Promarkers. Image is on 'Pointy Frames' by Go Kreate. Backing paper 'Amethyst Infusion' from Papermania 6x6 pad. Ribbon from stash, and card punched with Floral Lace punch from Martha Stewart. The punched card is lilac but doesn't photograph very well.

Paper was a freebie from Crafts Beautiful magazine and is also available to download from their site. Image is 'Jack & teddy' from Pink Gem Designs, card candy and greeting from Craftwork Cards, I added the '5' to it. Scalloped circle done with a nestie. Image was coloured with Promarkers I didn't want to go too over the top with this, as it was for a 5 year old boy and I doubt very much if he'd be interested in what his card would look like, toys are far more important :)

Sugar Nellie 'Pen Pal' coloured with Promarkers, floral paper 'Flower Patch' Making Memories 6x6 pad, the spotty/plaid is double sided and from my stash. Flowers by HOTP, and card candy from Craftwork cards.

Image as before, watercoloured with Sakura Stardust pens. Basic Grey 6x6 pad, 'Praline' from the Bittersweet range, punched with Scalloped Lace/Threading Water from Fiskars. I went over the stamped greeting with black stardust pen. Tag was punched with a Sizzix thick cut die.

A very quick and easy card to do. Image from Butterfly Kisses 'Miss Ellie' coloured with Promarkers.

A few makes

It's the 11th May today, I actually started to put these on the blog in March, but saved them as I wanted to do little write ups for each card.....I then totally forgot about them, due to various things going on, so now I've finally got round to finishing it......but now I've got loads more to upload on to the laptop. One day I'll be organised and know what I'm doing, but not today :)

These black & white cards were originally designed by Shirley, one of the tutors at Craft Inspirations, Sutton Coldfield but I think they were mainly female ones, I had to make 2 male cards at short notice, and black and white were the only colours I could think of to make them look 'masculine' The numbers and tags were cut using my cricut 'base camp' and 'George'. Paper from S.E.I 'Black Orchid'. This is double sided paper, the other side is varnished black flowers, really nice and different. Thanks to Shirley, I never have to buy chipboard numbers, she told me to cut out several numbers and layer them on top of each other, the result is stiff numerals.

This one is also designed by Shirley, the only difference being I used prima flowers with silver stickles in the middle of them, instead of punched flowers. The image is from Woodware clear stamps JRCL308 'Flower Frames'

I used H20's on this Sarah Kay stamp 'Precious Moments' along with papers from Craftwork Cards 'Enchanted' range, card stock was from DCWV mat stack 'Brights' flowers from Prima.

Another Shirley design. She's really very good when it comes to designing, and I'm sure if she were to send her cards to some of the crafting mags, they'd snap her up as one of their designers. This was made in one of her workshops. Embossed border strips 'Floral Fantasy' from Craftwork Cards, the edges were done with colorbox fluid chalk. I think the tag was cut using the Cricut. The flowers were punched.

The above 2 cards were made in workshops with Shirley. The stamp is from Woodware (FRCL055) Flower Fairies, that's been coloured in using Sakura Stardust pens, Bazzill card stock matted with Colour Cordinations card that had been run through the cuttlebug and then lightly rubbed over with a sander. White flowers were then stamped using Inkadinkadoo inchies. The card with pink flowers was very different to make as we had to cover an aperture without using acetate, just different size punched flowers stuck to each other.

Sugar Nellies 'Daisy' painted using H20s scalloped circles cut from Nestabilities, flowers done with Woodware punch. Papers by Papermania 'Spring Burst'

Penny Black 'Delights' painted using H20s, as were some of the embossed flowers on the frame 'Julie's Daisy' from Craftwork Cards. Edging of frame was done with colourqueue fluid chalk.

Paper 'Enchanted' & embossed tile 'Spring Collection' from Craftwork Cards, tile painted using H20s and the border was done with colourqueue chalk.

Penny Black stamp painted with H20s, nestie circles, 'Enchanted' paper from Craftwork Cards.

Again 'Daisy' painted with whispers/marvey pens, can't remember whose paper was used, sentiment from Craftwork Cards and Prima flower. I don't think I cleaned my brush properly after using a white Art Kure brush pen as there are some white blobs here and there, even after going over them they were still visible.

Penny Black 'Uplifting Occasion', using a mixture of Whisper/Marvey and Art Kure pens, Basic Grey paper 'Meltaway' from the Bittersweet range. Craftwork Cards sentiment edged with colourbox chalk pad.

Paper and embossed tile from Craftwork Cards, tile coloured in this time with chalk.

Sugar Nellie stamp 'Reflective', Basic Grey 'Bon Bon' and 'Soar' from the Lily Kate range, flowers from Prima. I can't remember what I used to paint the stamp with, as it's on pearlescent card and the efeect is the same, whether using H20s or pens. Sentiment as usual from Craftwork Cards.
