Feejdesigns Crafty Challenge

Have a look over on Fee's site for the monthly challenge, it closes on the 22nd December, and she's giving away a great prize, you have to create something using the free download that she provides, post your make to her which is then judged, the good thing about it is that the cards are then sold for a worthy cause, unless you specify that you want the card returned. Click on her banner or here to be taken to her site.

Before I go to bed.....

I thought I may as well put these on.

Kanban pyramid topper and dufex decoupage, I cuttlebugged one of the black cards with the 'Swiss Dots' folder then used stickles on the dots.
Box and book card was made from an Arty Farty template. The card for the box was from my stash.

Penny Black 'Gathering' and 'Berry Branch' were used on these two, made in a work shop at Craft Inspirations The second card was made by masking, and both were designed by Shirley. The inks used were Adirondak.

You can't tell, but the one on the left was glitter card and looks really nice, the photo doesn't do it justice. I actually saw this card at the craft shop I go to, Craft Inspirations, Sutton Coldfield, but I don't know who made it. Louise, owner of the shop very kindly let me take a photo. I don't normally copy cards, that seems pointless as I get great pleasure (as does every crafter) from doing my own original designs, but I just loved what the maker had done with it. The snowman and greeting were by Kanban

I've had enough

I've tried 3 times to do a post about a challenge on FeeJDesigns website, and 3 times I've lost it....I've also tried to add a banner on here but haven't a clue how to do it, so I've given up on that as well, for now. I'm so peed off with this, I'm going to bed to read a book.

My son's Godmother was having a party for her daughter's 21st birthday last year, I let her daughter pick the stamp from my collection, and was told 'as pink as possible'. The image is Penny Black's 'Light The Night' and the paper was from my stash. Numbers were cut using Ellison 'Curlie Girlie'

I was asked by my college classmates to make a thank you card for our tutor at the end of term in July. She loves teddies. Kanban teddies and paper, Cricut Base Camp cartridge used.
I had to make another tag card for a college class mate, I've made five of these for boys and only 1 for a baby girl. This is both sides of the card. The embellishments were bought from Craft Central, but I can't remember who made them. Scalloped cirlce was a 3" woodware punch. Other details of tag cards are in an earlier post.

This was made using the Cricut Base Camp cartridge, I cut the numbers about 4 times to make them more solid (like chipboard) I think the paper is from Paper Mania, Woodware punch was used for the 'flat' flowers. Tea roses are from stash. Paper Mania sticky gems were also used.

I loved making these

White pearlescent card, Bazzill card, Basic Grey Figgy Pudding Pepper Berry, Penny Black 'Fantasy ' stamp, sticky pearls by ? (as soon as I find them I'll let you know) The pearlescent card was cuttlebugged with 'Snow Dots'

Cream hammerd card, Bazzil Basics Paper Mango and Burning Ember, Penny Black 'Fantasy' stamp, Oak and Maple 1 Leafmaker Embossing punch by Woodware, red stickles and peel off dots, no idea about the ribbon! I can't remember what paper was used for the leaves. Sentiment was cuttlebugged with 'With Love' embossing border.

Basic Grey Figgy Pudding-Tinsel and Red Rider. Cuttlebug Dove is a 3x3 combo which includes a die (not used) and embossing folder.

Papers used were Basic Grey Two Scoops-Ice Cream Parlour, Watermelon Ice, Butter Pecan, Blueberry Custard, Mint Chocolate Chip. Dahlia Flowermaker Embossing punch and Maple 1 Leafmaker Embossing punch. Everything was edged with Colourbox Cat's Eye Midnight Blue stamp.

They were made at a workshop at Craft Inspirations, Sutton Coldfield, where the lovely Shirley showed us how to achieve these looks.

Slowly but surely......

I'm getting on with decorating my blog. I've spent hours just looking at various skins, more than once I might add before I settled on this one, now I've just got to pester Martine on how to have a different header. She's an absolute star.

Falling asleep as I type. Night night

A couple of Christmas cards

Will I have the time....

....to make the rest of my crimble cards, I went on holiday to Dorset with the intention of making them then, but all I managed were these....

Howzat..............

I was asked to make a card for someone who's cricket crazy, the card is in the team colours of Warwickshire. Numbers and wording were done done using the Cricut base camp cartridge, I layered the numbers to give it that chipboard feel. The card is A4 size and in a box.

I'm baaaaaaaaack!!!

Finally and at long last I can start trying to update my blog, the main 'puter has been playing up for a while and had some viruses that I couldn't shift, and I was reluctant to use it, then the modem died, and then finally the hard drive crashed. Now a new hard drive has been bought and is waiting to be installed, but best of all my OH has bought me a laptop for my birthday and crimble pressie (birthday not till November, but what the heck!) and I've sat here all day on the sofa playing with my new toy :) bliss............

Thursday 5 June 2008

Aaaaagh, I really must get this blog sorted, and get back to CB forum & FeeJ as well. Have had a lot to do in the last few weeks, plus I had a lump in my boob which was very scary, but it turned out to be a cyst, which I had drained there and then at the hospital, it took 2 attempts to do it, the pain of the needles and the bruising that was left was a very small price to pay.

Will be back to update as soon as all my chores/college homework is done.

At last

Finally sussed out how to upload the photos, but have discovered that the last pic I upload appears first on the blog, not going to change them as I've been on here so long now, I've got square eyes. Sorry there's not much on here yet, but it's work in progress.

Child of the 80's (and 70's & 90's)

Well, still sat here trying to get this bloggy thing going, have managed to do 2 pics so far, and my music which while adding tracks to the playlist meant I was having a bop whilst sat in my chair...it's really taken me back to my childhood and to my nightclubbing days. Keep having a look at other blogs to see how they're set out, going to have to ask some questions I think again on the CB forum.
