Craft workshop cards continued
I really enjoyed doing this, this was my introduction to using Derwent Coloursoft Pencils and Sansodor. To spread and blend the colours a paper stump was used, dipped into the Sansodor. I've read about Prismacolours which I think are American (not sure) but apparently Coloursoft is the UK equivalent and you get the same results. The images used are from Inkadinkado '97622 Doodle Flowers' 2 of which have been decoupaged and inked using black Versafine. The smooth white card had an aperture cut using a nestie scalloped oval, then a smaller size was used to make an oval scallop which had the sentiment stamped on, then stuck to the pale lemon bazzill card with sticky pads.
The same colouring technique was used on this as above. The image is from Penny Black 'Birthday Balloons' and layered onto green bazzill card, lemon panel was run through the cuttlebug twice using the dotty embossing border with pale pink grosgrain ribbon going round it. The dots are bigger than the Swiss Dots. The paper is Basic Grey 'Lemonade Doillies Flowers' which is matted onto pink pearl card. The flower I think maybe a Prima one

Craft workshop cards
I've actually done this wrong, because I kept looking at the original card while it was closed. The opening should be on the left hand side, so imagine the card turned upside down and that would be the right way, and the blank space would be the back of the card.
This was created using a Dreamweaver brass stencil 'LJ849 Bare Trees' and black and white Dreamweaver embossing pastes. Bazzill lilac and purple card was punched using EK Success 'Dotted Wave'. Sentiment from Craftwork Cards and scalloped circles done with nesties run through the cuttlebug.
This stencil was again from Dreamweaver 'LL431 Sundae' and embossed with Dreamweaver paste. Colour was added with Colourbox Queue Fluid Chalk and stencil brush, except for the top part which was glued and glitter sprinkled over. Card candy then stuck on as the cherry, this and the sentiment are from Craftwork Cards. Dark brown ribbon. Paper was cut with Go Kreate 6x6 'Square Pointy #1' dies that are compatable with the cuttlebug. Pink bazzill card and Bo Bunny Double Dot 'Chocolate Dot' Pink and brown circles made with nesties.
The next two cards were made with teenagers in mind. Pink pearl card had been matted and layered with plain black card and Bo Bunny Double Dot 'Strawberry Dot'. The black card has Bo Bunny Double Dot 'Pink Punch' wrapped round, strawberry dot paper was punched using EK Success 'Swiss Cheese'. Black scalloped squares done with nesties as was the white straight edge squares. White squares had pink colour queue fluid chalk rubbed on, than stamped. Images are from Inkadinkado Inchies '98780 Special Thoughts' Small circles were done using smallest round nestie after being stamped.
This the one for a teenage boy. Blue co-ordination card was sanded around the edges as were the two circles (blue and light blue) Stars were cut using nesties and then put through the cuttlebug using the 'Tiny Bubbles' embossing folder. The card for the stars was also co-ordination, and again was sanded over. The image used is from Woodware 'FRCl058 Boy Zone' and was stamped on to a white circle that had been edged with a blue Colourbox QueueFluid Chalk pad. Derwent watercolour pencils were used to colour the image, and a metallic sakura pen for the wording.
A brayer was used to do the sand, Adirondaks Sunshine Yellow, sea Pool and sky ?, using the masking technique. Plain and scalloped oval were cut from nesties, the images are from Woodware 'GRCL212 Sunny Days'. The girl was coloured using Derwent Coloursoft Pencils. Stickles was used for her hair slide. Yellow Bazzill was used to mat and for the scalloped oval.
This is something a bit different from the norm. Image is again from Woodware 'GRCL212 Sunny Days'. Flags were stamped 8 times on to red, yellow and blue scrap card. then each cut individually, beach huts were stamped 4 times on the same colours and mounted on to white circles cut with nesties, each circle was edged in the same colour as whatever hut was on it. Then it was layered on slightly larger black circles again cut with nesties. Co ordinating ribbon was threaded through. The front of the card done in the same way, but with boats and wording instead. I'm falling asleep and I've only got two cards left to put on, but I'll finish off tomorrow and do a very quick blog hop as I know I have something to pick up from Susan.
Another catch up
Image from Penny Black 'Birthday Balloons' stamped with black versafine ink, coloured with promarkers. Green card from stash and run through the cuttlebug using 'Swiss Dots' embosing folder. Multi coloured dotty paper and ribbon are freebies. Fushia and Teal spotty flowers from Petaloo Mulberry Street Embossed Daisies. Teal brad from stash. Insert papers punched with EK Success 'Swiss Cheese'.
Image by Stamps Happen '60082 Chic' coloured with promarkers, mounted on black pearl card scalloped using Go Kreate die. Red spotty paper (other side is plain) by Bo Bunny 'Harvest Dot', plain side of paper matted on to black pearl card.
I was asked to make 3 christening cards for children who range from 7 to 11 years of age. I didn't want to make them in the usual blue or pink colours as I thought that would look too babyish, so I went for ivory and taupe.I've only shown two of them as I made the ones for the girls the same. The first one was for the 10 year old girl. Ivory card had circle aperture using a nestie then embossed with cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder, then matted on to taupe card, the circle left from the cut out was then put at the opposite end and name added. I try not to use peel off letters if I can help it, but as I had 3 cards to do I didn't want to risk making any mistakes using my hot foil, hence the peel offs. The cross was bought at the NEC at a trade show (the company were selling off things at 50p, they're not supposed to sell at a trade show!) Sticky gems from Artoz stuck to two of the corners.
The one below it is for the 7 year old boy, I ran the taupe card through the cuttlebug using the 'Flourish Frame' cross and sticky gems as before.

Catch up
Finished off a card order this afternoon and it'll be collected tomorrow afternoon. I've decided I'll be making a start on my crimbo cards in September when the school hols are over and I've got peace and quiet, as much as I love my son there are times when I could happily just lock myself away in a room and never come out...well at least for a few hours anyway
Here are some cards that've been recently made and have been received by the recipients.
Image is from Pink Gem Designs 'Denny Dragon', and coloured with promarkers, paper was a freebie. Card is from DCWV 'Brights' mat stack, card candy & sentiment from Craftwork Cards, scalloped circle done with nestie run through the cuttlebug.
Image from Penny Black 'Imagine' coloured with promarkers, Prima flowers, paper from Basic Grey Lily Kate 'Pansy' and 'Parasol' ribbon from stash, coloured card as before. Punched with Fiskars 'Scalloped Lace'.
Image from Penny Black 'Tulip Jungle' coloured with Derwent Pastels and Sansodor, shaped cards as previous, cut with Go Kreate '6x6 Pointy Frame #1' dies. Mounted on to pale pink pearl card.
