Where did the time go?

Omg, just over 2 months since I last blogged, I'm useless, but having said that, I haven't missed blogging either, with the summer hols and having to keep Shane amused, I didn't have much time to blog, plus I got hooked on Facebook, but I'm over it now!!! Inbetween FB and child rearing I managed to get a few cards made. I also bought a new table from Ikea, one of those ones where you pick the top and legs seperately, the legs ended up costing more than the table top :( but it's sturdier than my old table, and a mini stacker from Storage 4 Crafts. My room isn't how I want it yet, the problem is I keep chopping and changing my mind about how I want it to look, just when I think 'that's it' turns out it isn't. I'm aiming to get rid of the plastic drawers on wheels, but it's going to have to be done bit by bit....oh and I want a colour laser printer as well.

This is a variation on a card that was made at a craft workshop some time back. I think I made this for a RAK club that I'm in on FeeJ Designs

The stamp is a set by Inkadinkadoo 97622 Doodle Flowers and was coloured with Copics.

These were made for Shane's teacher and her assistant when he broke up for the holidays. It's Popcorn The Bear School Days by Crafters Companion, and again coloured with copics. The square was cut with MFD010 Nellies Square Die.

I was asked to make 2 money wallets for a friend's son and her grand-daughter, this is what I came up with, really easy peasy. The black one is Kanban card, edged with blue pearl card, though in the photo it's looks a different colour, punched with MS Embossed Zigzag, circles were done with nesties. The pink one was done using 'Parfait Pink' from Paper Adventures and pink pearl card, again nestie circles.

This easel card was an order for another friend, flowers were done using EK Success retro flower punches, the double sided paper which I really didn't want to use because it was so lush and I kept touching it :) is embossed on one side and is from the SEI Jolie Chocolat collection, this one is Chocolat Papillon, Cuttlebug Fancy Pants alphabet dies used for lettering.

Shy Bear 710M aka Tatty Ted from The Artful Stamper coloured with copics, nestie labels 4.

The kind of card I don't like to make, and thankfully I don't make many. Image is Penny Black 3636k Flying Stars, stamped onto black card and heat embossed with silver powder. Wording from Inca Stamps 5002H Thinking Of You.

Another RAK card. Card and frame from Craftwork Cards, flowers as before, gems from stash.

Another sympathy card. Image from Magenta 09156Q Roses, watercoloured with Whisper Pens and Art Kure Water Colour Sketch Brush. Wording as before.

The Forever Friend cards were really done in a hurry as I was trying to get the house and everything else sorted before we went on holiday, so I couldn't spend as much time as I wanted on them.
FFS9061105 Forever Friends Balloon Bear coloured with copics, flowers punched with Woodware Super Punch Christmas Flowers. Freebie paper.

FFS9061101 Forever Friends I’ll Drink To That, coloured with copics, paper from stash.

FFS9061104 Forever Friends My Birthday Gifts coloured with copics, paper and flowers from stash.

This was supposed to have been off Shane to his friend, but I ended up colouring it for him, with copics as usual. Image from Lili of the Valley S100 Football Crazy.

The Greeting Farm Twinkle Tots Madelynn, coloured with Promarkers.

Souffle the Duck from the Popcorn the Bear set School Days. I had to use peel offs, which I'm not very keen on using, coloured with copics and peel off marker pen. Nestie dies labels 4.

Sugar Nellies Pen Pal, coloured with copics, paper by Paper Mania Amethyst Infusion, 'hello' stamp from stash, flower punched with Woodware Super Punch, Christmas Flower.

Magnolia Pink Tilda with Rose coloured with copics, and for a change I've remembered to make a note of the colours used.

Glamour dust on the wings, everything else from stash.

No mojo

Well yet again I've lapsed in updating my blog, I have all the best intentions in the world to update it every week as doing it everyday would be impossible, but things happen and I never get round to doing it and before I know it a month or more has gone by, that and the fact I lost my mojo and really couldn't come up with any ideas at all. It'll be worse when my son starts the school hols as we'll be trying to keep him occupied during the day and I'll be recovering on the evenings :)

Anyway lets get the ball rolling.

I always seem to use Daisy from the Sugar Nellies range when I make these wall hangings, but then she's my favourite of all them. She was coloured in with Copics and as usual I've forgotten to make a note of the colours. White card was embossed with Cuttlebug 'Roses' butterflies were done with Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly double punch and Classic Butterfly. Plain and scalloped circles done with nesties. Ribbon from stash.

This was an order from a friend for her dad. Cream card embossed with Cuttlebug 'Textile', sentiment was stamped then written over using a Sakura metallic pen. Border punched with EK Success 'Diamond Lace', ribbon again from stash.

This is the card to my OH from our son, I tried to get him to colour in the image himself, but he was more into playing with his Tech Decks, but I managed to get him to write 'Daddy' on the front, though it's not that clear. Image is Forever Friends 'Daisy Bear' you'll notice that there's no daisy, that's because I didn't want the flower on for this card. Coloured in with Copics, die cut shapes were done with Nellies 'Eastern Rounds', spotty paper from Craftwork Cards 'Sorbet Souffle Richie' pack.

This is a Greeting Farm image, Twinkle Tots Max, again good old Cuttlebug embossing folders to the rescue 'Happy Birthday' which was then sanded to give it a distressed look. Max coloured with Copics, and sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

I belong to a monthly RAK club on FeejDesigns, and I just couldn't think what to do, so I had to send something that I'd already made, which I hate doing. Hopefully it's arrived at it's destination by now. Flower Fairy from Crafters Companion and coloured with Copics, paper is by Rico Design

Paper from Craftwork Cards 'Sugar & Spice' white card and scalloped circle embossed with Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' circles cut with nesties, numbers made with Cuttlebug 'Alphabet Dies 'Fancy Pants', ribbon from stash.

After having had four boys, I was really happy to finally make a baby girl card for a friend and buy a little girly outfit! I have to say this was inspired by Shirley Drew at Craft Inspirations and I've put my own take on her design.
Paper is from Craftwork Cards 'Sugar & Spice' butterflies as already previously mentioned, hearts done with Martha Stewart 'Lace Heart' border punch. Flowers, buttons and brads from stash. Baby lettering done with 'Fancy Pants' Alphabet dies from Cuttlebug.

I didn't want the boys to feel left out as I know they would have been so excited to have a baby sister. Hearts embossed with Cuttlebug Folder 'Kimmy Luvs', lettering as before.

Greeting Farm 'Twinkle Tots Izzy, I think she's a real cutie and could overtake Daisy as being my favourite. Paper is Papermania 'Exquisite'. Izzy was coloured in with Copics, corners were cut with 'Vintage' 1 of a set of 4 dies. Flowers from stash.

That's it for now, going to have a browse and maybe attempt some crafting a bit later. Hope you like what I've done so far.

Not many made

No, not done a lot this week, in fact the 2 birthday cards were started last week and finished this week, both of them were for Crafts Beautiful birthday club members. The wedding one was an order off a friend.

The colours used on the wedding card are the same as the bridesmaids dresses, I was given the strap off the dress and managed to match it perfectly with some ribbon bought at Stampezee in Coventry, the card was already in my stash. Wedding bells were done with a Cuttlebug embossing folder from a set of 4 'Wedding', the other was done with a 7 x 5 folder 'Jamara'. 'Mr & Mrs' is from Inkadinkado 'Weddiing' acrylic stamp set 97892. Sticky gems from stash.

Lili of the Valley image 'Fairy on Tiptoe' coloured with copics, circles cut with nesties. Papers from Making Memories 6 x 6 pad 'Flower Patch' swirls made from EK Success 'Large Swirl Flourish'. Sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

This card is more or less the same as the one on a previous post, only difference is I didn't punch a border. The corners were made with a Cuttlebug Die that's one of a set of 4 and the bits that came out were stuck around the circle.

I'm off to bed as I've had toothache since yesterday, but I'm hoping I escape a visit to the dentist, as it hasn't been as painful as it was yesterday.
Night night

Sunny Sunday

How hot is it today???? I've got the back door open, all the internal downstairs doors open, even the front door has been left ajar to let the breeze go through the house. Today I was going to sit and do some ironing, but I gave that idea up as a bad one after only going to hang out washing....I was melting and that was before 11am. So instead I've been on facebook....and it's very addictive, especially since I've got some like minded crafty friends now on my page.

I've not been up to much in the way of crafting, in fact I'm behind again in making cards for birthday clubs, but what I have made you can see below.

I made this really quick as it was needed for the next day before the receipient went camping with cubs. He loves playing Guitar Hero on the Wii, and this was the nearest to a guitar I could get...peeloff guitar was stuck onto card and cut around, stuck on to plain square silver holographic card with sticky pads, both silver and gold squares were die cut with Go Kreate dies. The musical happy birthday stamp is from Butterfly Kisses.

This is another edgy album from Bo Bunny that I made for a friend, for obvious reasons I haven't shown the inside fully due to the fact that her family don't want to be shown.

This one was for my stepfather's birthday, I put a sheet of tin foil through the cuttlebug using one of the new 7" x 5" embossing folders 'Jamara'.....only problem was the foil was too thin and cracked in some places, luckily you couldn't really see them, Ive since bought thicker foil. I then rubbed over the foil with nail varnish remover to take some of the 'gold' colouring off. Border edge done with Martha Stewart 'Embossing Zig Zag' punch. Original idea using foil was by Shirley Drew at Craft Inspirations, Sutton Coldfield. I'll be putting craft workshop cards on later on in the week.

I had one of my monochrome moods again, plus I love this image. White card was run through the cuttlebug using 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder, it was then edged with Martha Stewart 'Floral Vine' deep edger punch, swirly curly corner bits were made using Cuttlebug 'Vintage' die...this is one from a set of 4. Plain and scalloped circles were made with nesties. The image is by Great Impressions 'Frollicking Trio' G342. Sentiment from craftwork Cards.

I love love love this image, and was perfect for a 1st birthday, it was coloured with copics and was from Lili of The Valley 'Ballon Bunny' S116. Die cut shape was nesties again 'Labels 6'. Pink paper from Craftwork Cards flowers and ribbon from stash.
Made using an 8" x 8" card from Craftwork Cards. The so gorgeous image is from Lili Of The Valley 'Fairy on Tip Toe' S109 and was coloured again with copics and die cut shape is a nestie 'Labels 9'. Edge was punched with Martha Stewart 'Daisy' edge punch, while the middle was done with the 'Floral Vine' punch. Paper is from Bella Press BP-AP-KR02 'Wavy Flowers' and Papermania 'Amethyst Infusion'. Charm and small roses from stash, larger flowers from Prima Christmas Bubble Purple. Sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

Right, time to bath the child known as Shane, who for the first time is going to have a shower, only because I've convinced him he'll be hot and sticky when he gets out the bath, plus I need to hurry as my man is on tv soon......the god known as Michael Buble........sigh!

Boy's card

My son has been invited to a birthday party tomorrow by one of his classmates at the local bowling alley, I made this card for him, hope he likes it.

The image is from Lili of the Valley, the greeting was heat embossed using an Ink It Up pad in blue and clear embossing powder, Cuttlebug labels 4, sentiment is by Penny Black 2908F '...to you' copics used for colouring: B00 B04 B12-R02 R08-Eoo E34-W7-C0 C00 C1 C2 C4.

I was naughty and ordered some more stamps from LOTV today, I say naughty because I was going to try to cut down on what I spend on crafty things, because I've got a holiday to save for, I want some new specs and I want to decorate my living room after the dining room has been done....looks like I'm failing miserably already.

I'm in bed as I type this as I'm unbelievably tired, and trying to watch The Vampire Diaries at the same time, so I'll bid you all goodnight.

Another workshop make

I didn't have time to finish this, we made it several weeks ago and was made in 2 workshops, lots of cutting and gluing had to be done. I finished this on Friday at home, but only photographed it earlier today. I'm not a scrapbooker, but this may just get me on my way to having ago...I even bought a scrapbook back in February that's just waiting for me to play with.

This is called an edgy album made of chipboard and it's from Bo Bunny. They come in 8 colours, the one here is in chocolate.

Hope you're all enjoying the good weather while we've got it, hopefully I'll start doing the gardening next week if it carries on like this.

Time to catch up with some other stuff.

I've followed a sketch.....

from Friday Sketchers, it was an old challenge, by about a week but I had no intention of entering (it was current when I made my card) I just wanted some inspiration, don't know why I didn't think of doing it before.  You never know maybe one day I may actually enter a challenge, but judging by the standard of entries I don't stand a chance anyway.  Here's the card.
The image is Belles 'n' Whistles 'Lil Miss Poppy' coloured with Copics.  The papers and ribbon are from Papermania,  A5 pad 'Capsule Collection in Aqua', flowers from stash.

That's all for now, Dr Who has just started, Shane is next door and Mike is working.  I've got a card to finish off, no chance of getting it done tonight as my viewing is planned, after Dr Who, Over The Rainbow, Then Britains Got Talent and after that the remake of The Prisoner.

More workshop makes

As I mentioned the other day, I had some other makes that I was going to put on here...well here they are!

This was done using alcohol inks, it was the first time any of us had used them and we all agreed that we would use them again.
This is the inside of the tin (obviously!!) I did mine wrong, but I can't remember what it was that I did.
This was lovely to make but also awkward at the same time, we had to draw around the front cover of the butterfly, then around the back cover as believe it or not they were ever so slightly different sizes.  Card candy from Craftwork Cards, as is the butterfly, not sure what paper was used. Pink dotty ribbon from Bo Bunny.

As you can see, this wasn't easy to photograph, and I don't know why I even bothered putting it on black card.  Card was core'dinations. Butterfly was a cut n' emboss Cuttlebug, the flowers were Woodware punches, circles and scallops and the tag are nesties, ladybird and bee were already cut out for us. I had the idea I would get some more of these paint tubs to store my pens/pencils but then I wouldn't be able to put the lid on, so that was a no go.

Even though this was a workshop card I had to make it at home as I felt unwell at the shop and left after the first hour.  I only got round to making it yesterday and the fiddliest bit was threading the ribbon through the button holes, apart from that it was easy peasy, I punched the flowers using an EK Success retro flower punch. White card was punched with EK Success 'Diamond Lace'.

We made easel cards last Wednesday.  The image is Sugar Nellies 'Pet's Corner' coloured in with promarkers, white and blue card edged with the same punch as above.  The white card candy was coloured with grey promarker as I preferred it, (the sample card had grey ones on). The card with the image was wiped around with distress ink 'old paper' (I think) Sentiment also from craftwork cards.  Not sure where the backing paper came from.
This is Gorjuss Girls 'Flower Girl' again coloured with promarkers. The flowery paper was 7 circles using a 1 inch punch (could've been 1.5 can't remember what Shirley said), both size flowers are cut with retro flower punches by EK Success.

That's it as far as workshop stuff is concerned until next Wednesday when I'm back at Craft Inspirations for some more marvelous makes with Louise & Shirley.
